I got up at 8:00 AM, and I hit the streets at 9:00 AM, getting a snack at Sainsbury's near the Marble Arch Underground station. The weather was still sunny & clear. I took the Underground from Marble Arch to Holborn and navigated the streets that went in many different directions to the British Museum. Instead of dinosaur fossils, this museum had Greek, early Islamic, Egyptian, Roman, early British and many other artifacts and displays. I walked the many exhibit rooms and took many pictures. At the gift shop area in the central courtyard, I got some postcards and stamps.

After about 2.75 hours, my feet were getting tired with much more to do, so it was time to move on. I went back to Holborn Station and rode the Central Line eastbound to Bank Tube Station. A few blocks away I found the ticket booth and put in 17.00 for a tour of the Tower of London & the crown jewels. I got right in and a guided tour was just starting so I went along. Later, I went off on my own and got in a long but fast moving line to see the jewels, and then into the tower itself, which featured displays on King Henry the 8th.

Two hours and twenty minutes later I was back out on the Thames riverfront. I then headed over to the ticket office for the Tower Bridge, 7.00 for a self-guided tour and 10.00 for a large souvenir photo. I ended up at the other side of the river and I walked The Queens Walk past City Hall on the riverfront then back over to the Millennium foot bridge, taking many digital photos along the way. The 2 GB xD memory card can hold about 800 photos, and I brought with me a spare plus an older 1 GB card. I could also offload the photos to the netbook and make a backup to the 8 GB microSD card.

With my feet feeling quite worn out, I made my way past the closed Southwark Underground station and on to the next one, Waterloo Station. I navigated the stairs and subway tunnels to the platform and took the Bakerloo Line from platform 3 northbound to Oxford Circus station. I transferred to Central Line west, getting off at Marble Arch so I could grab a quick dinner before returning to the hotel and resting myself and my feet. Tomorrow morning Id travel north to York.
